Find something you're good at...We have known since the early 1970's that one thing is true with regard to population, consumption and resources: sooner or later something has got to give. All we have is time. We can speed up the clock or slow it down, but we can't stop it, and we probably won't soon be able to turn it backwards to any extent. I refer to energy production/usage, population growth and the ability of the planet to absorb the environmental damage we are just begninng to inflict. If we really care about our children and their children and our neices and nephews and cousins and parents, etc. we need to grow up and face facts. First, our country can't live on debt anymore than we personally can live on debt. If we can't pay cash, we shouldn't be buying it. Second, with great power comes great responsibility, so belly up and chip in to make our country great. Greedy freakin' cheapskates. Here's a challenge to anyone in New York City with some extra money: Set up a business that pays street people to sweep up sidewalks and parking areas in front of businesses, and charges the businesses a fee for the service. If capitalism really is the gospel of Murka, then shouldn't you be spreading the gospel to the masses? If capitalism really can save the poor, shouldn't you be putting your money where your mouth is? Or do you prefer to pay someone to tell them that Jesus is what they need. I'm guessing Job (and not the Biblical one) is what they need. But what do I know? Depending  on who you talk to, I'm either a smartass or a dumbass.
